30 days of creativity – day 15 – I knitted a mouse!

DSCF1743I’ve been neglecting my knitting needles to begin a love affair with my crochet hook.

But I’m trying to use up my yarn stash and this lovely soft fluffy yarn is absolutely awful to crochet with.

I decided to knit a bunny rabbit, no pattern as usual, but when I sewed the faceĀ  she decided to be a mouse. I stitched the floppy bunny ears into roundy mouse ears, made a tail and, there you go, a mouse!

I think she’s cute and I’m tempted to keep her, but have decided to donate her to my friend’s coffee morning in aid of breast cancer.

Fastest jumper ever!

You won’t see much knitting on this blog, because most of my knitting projects lie unfinished in a variety of handmade bags.

But I actually knitted this so fast I didn’t have time to get bored!!

I also did not have a pattern so I am lucky that it actually fits.

I used 3 strands of yarn – the red and grey were double knitting and the purple is chunky – on 15mm needles.
(Maybe I will write the pattern up on my next post; it’s very simple – just garter stitch and ladder stitch with no shaping. Anyone who could knit could probably work it out for themselves!)
