My sons are obsessed. They think of nothing else except Minecraft.
I’d tell you what was so great about it, but I am 39 years old. I don’t really understand. It’s not really anything like the Manic Miner of my youth.
But I like the creeper image – it’s very simple to reproduce!
I have painted this for their Christmas present.
A large canvas, divided into squares; I painted the green ones first using 2 shades of green acrylic, gradually adding white to get lighter shades. I painted them randomly rather than to a plan, then painted the face in black acrylic last.
It’s not fine art, but it was fun, and my boys are going to love it!
I’ve made this card with a lovely freebie digi stamp from Birdie Brown – and I’d like to enter it into her November challenge.
I coloured the image with promarkers, and the background paper is from Dovecraft. The words are hand written.
I think it makes a really sweet Grandfather card – if your grandfather is a sweet, little, old man!
I’ve been busy colouring this owl digi stamp from digi stamp boutique, you can see more of my Christmas cards on my facebook page.
Call me boring but I like making nice, square cards.
So when my mother-in-law gave me a packet of shutter card blanks from here, I have to admit not knowing where to start!
Anyway, I decided to go Christmassy and made this…
The penguins are a digi stamp image from DigiStamp Boutique, which I have coloured with promarkers and mounted onto silver card. The papers are from Dovecraft’s 2012 collection.
Anyway, encouraged by the success of the complicated Christmas card I decided to try using another blank for a commissioned baptism card…
The words are printed on the computer, then I embellished the card with shiny gems and ribbons. This card took me ages and I had to abandon it halfway through as I hit a brick wall of inspiration! I’m glad I persevered though as I do like the finished article.
